I give 5 stars for the ambiance, the service from our waiter Steve, and the comedy. The Governor's nachos with meat? Not so much; I’d rate them 3 stars. We had a fantastic time last night at McGuire at Governor's Comedy. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the comedians, all new to the scene, were impressive! We particularly enjoyed the Long Island guy, Donna, and Nick the attorney. They all delivered outstanding performances and clearly gave it their all. I can’t wait to return and try more of the food. The Governor's nachos were just okay—good for snacking, but loaded with jalapeños. Steve, our waiter, did a great job too!
I had a wonderful evening, but we faced some unpleasantness in the parking lot when we were pressured to show proof of payment. Even after I demonstrated that we had indeed paid, the owner was still quite unfriendly. It really took away from the fun experience. Why is that okay?
My husband and I had a fantastic time at McGuire’s! The comedians were hilarious, and the audience was both respectful and entertaining. We’re looking forward to returning. I deducted a star because the beers were warm, but overall, it was a fun night out.

I had a great night however when we left we were harassed in the parking lot to prove that we paid and even after I showed that we did pay the owner was still very hostile? really not cool? why? Supposed to be fun
Overall, it's a fantastic spot for some laughs! However, the food and service could use some improvement, which is why I gave it a rating of 4 out of 5.
Bobby Collins is a must-see, especially if you're from New York or Long Island. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it!
