Food is great, and this place has so much potential. I've been here many times since they opened, and every time, it was usually the service that was lacking or lack of product. I would have to hunt down a server or just order from the bar. First time, they were out of everything no food/kitchen closed early, barely any drinks, couldn't even get tea, soda or juice, so we left very disappointed. The next several times, I was able to order food but still had to hunt down a server. I've had a lot of crabcake sandwiches in the DC area and beyond and I have to say, in terms of value, this is up there. You don't typically expect good crabcake from Irish bars but I was quite impressed. Crabcake fans know you can tell how much filler there almost immediately and these taste like they have very little you get that immediate crab flavor. Cajun fries were solid and if you're a fan of cole slaw that's sort of mid way between creamy and just veggies, you'll be a fan of McNamara's version. Bar service was good.

Visited with my husband and two kids. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere, the spacious lighted patio on a lovely late summer evening, the friendly and helpful waitstaff, and their simple Irish pub staples done unusually well! Note: there were several TVs inside showing various sporting events, so the inside had a somewhat different vibe than outside.

Slow service. Waiter was rude. Fish was almost raw. Nice place if they had decent wait staff. I finally went to the bar myself for refills. It took 30 minutes to get a bill after we asked. I will not be back.
