I used to be a regular at Meemah when I worked in Iselin, but since the change in ownership, the experience has declined significantly. The atmosphere has shifted for the worse. The greeter was unfriendly, making me and other first-time customers feel quite unwelcome. The waiter was rude, even snatching the menu out of my hands. Additionally, my dish was overly seasoned with pepper, making it too spicy to enjoy, and the chicken quality was disappointing—spongy and off-putting. I have no plans to return. If I could rate Meemah zero stars, I would. It's truly a shame because it used to be such a wonderful place.
Meemah offers a wonderful combination of Chinese and Malaysian dishes. Among our favorites are the spicy pork and shrimp dumplings with peanut sauce, the crispy sesame prawns, and the sautéed string beans. You have the option to eat in or get takeout, and their specials are often very impressive. We've been loyal customers for more than 20 years, and they have consistently provided high-quality food and outstanding service. Plus, there's ample free parking available.
The food was disappointing. I ordered the ginger tofu, and it was far too sweet. My mother chose the seasoned shrimp, but it came with a mix of fresh and old chicken, with some pieces being extremely dry. The rice was sticky and undercooked. This was my first visit, and I won't be coming back.
The customer service at this restaurant leaves much to be desired. The woman taking orders was quite unfriendly. I've also heard concerning reports of rats in the back, despite their claims about maintaining cleanliness. This establishment really should be closed down.

This is the best Asian cuisine in Central NJ. We are always seated right away, the service is incredibly attentive, and we have never been disappointed with our meals after numerous visits for dinner.
This restaurant really excels in flavor. I highly recommend dining in rather than taking your meal to go. The hot dishes and bold flavors straight from the wok are sure to brighten your day!
This restaurant used to be one of my favorites, but I feel it's time to look for other options. The prices have increased, while the quality of the food and service has clearly declined.
I discovered this restaurant about six months ago, and I must say the food is outstanding and fairly priced. I'm especially pleased that they offer Chinese broccoli on their menu.
