AWEFUL place, AWEFUL owner. I have never been to a place where the owner is so RUDE. The owner put a table in front of the door, when I came in, I accidentally knocked it down. I said I’m sorry and I tried to help, but she just started bombarding me with hateful and rude words, I don’t even have a chance to say anything! I was there to get a package. She told me to “pick it up your self”, so I did. When I left she said it using an AWEFUL attitude, “you can’t go without a signature!” She didn’t tell me that because she was busying using words to bully me. I was extremely angry, and I said you didn’t tell me to sign, she said, “now I said so!” What the hell is going on with her???? I will neve...
We’ve been searching for good Chinese for years and were pleased with tonight’s dinner. Because we had 95 year old grams with us we couldn’t go spicy but will next time. Dumplings were tasty and shared a nice sauce with some heat with the scallion pancakes. Those were very filling and a bit too bready but flavorful. Mains were Mongolian beef, which was so tender that you could cut it with a fork. Could’ve used a few more onions but was very good. Bland but great was Mongolian chicken with cashews. Was more like very tender chicken and zucchini with a few cashews. The zucchini was surprisingly good however. Portions were large and reasonably priced.... we will return!
During my first visit to this restaurant, I was quite taken aback by the owner’s behavior, which I found to be extremely rude. Additionally, I felt the prices were quite steep; I paid $24 for one order of chicken fried rice and one order of beef fried rice. I honestly don’t plan on returning. The owner could definitely benefit from some training in customer service.
Mei Lin House never disappoints! From the Cashew Chicken to the Mongolian Beef, the quality, consistency, and freshness of the food is outstanding. I've been eating at this restaurant for decades. Originally, it was in Evanston as The Pine Yard. I was thrilled to find out that it moved to Wilmette. It is as authentic as ever. Thank you, Mei Lin House!!

If the first impression doesn't get you, you will pay the price. It's a carry out only place, called in my order and went to.pick it up. Well, the place is filthy, like old basement dirty. The food, well had it for lunch, hit the bathroom an hour later..so much grease. Dont know how they survived covid, but think their days are numbered...
I have eaten food from here before. It was OK, but not great. I would not return because their place is filthy and full of sick and dying plants. I go to Duncan Donuts frequently next door and walk by this place all the time. The dirt makes my skin crawl. Just yuck.
When I heard that the owners of Pine Yard (Evanston staple) had opened up a takeout spot in Wilmette I had to make my way. I ordered Three Delecacies, spring rolls and a few other items. Just as amazing as I recall. I'll most certainly be back! Highly recommend.
Incredible and appetizing. If you're passing through, be sure to stop by and grab a menu to take with you, or you can place an order in advance if you're familiar with using the internet.

I really enjoy the spicy dishes they serve here! The family is also very welcoming.
