I stopped at Mel’s with my family a few months ago when we were returning home from a hike nearby. The place is very cozy with good food. We liked everything we ordered except Tater Tots (those were a bit too oily). We had to wait for our order a bit, but I liked that the food was freshly prepared. The wait wasn’t annoying as my boys were keeping themselves entertained with the arcade and stuff and my husband and I were listening to the music. They played a selection of GREAT music. But the cherry on the top was our server Gina. She was very friendly, attentive, and just an ultimate professional. She said she was from Brooklyn, NY, and gave boys a cookie when we were leaving. Nice experience...
I would have bought something or just given them $20 if that was their only concern. I have Crohn’s disease and was about to pee my pants. I went in to use the bathroom. They stopped me and told me it was out of order while people walked past us to use the bathroom. After I told them I had a medical condition, they kept interrupting me and told me I needed to go to another place with a public bathroom.
Best burger we've had in years. Fresh meat daily, not frozen, made at the moment you order. Wonderful service as well from both Tasha and Mel. Place is CLEAN and welcoming. Cannot recommend highly enough!Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the place, the food, the service, and the pinball machine.
Craving a burger and Yelp led me here. What a great find! Cute little set up inside and my meal was excellent. Tender burger, nice crunchy fries, and the star of the show, the chocolate shake. I found my new go to for burgers!

Very good and I'd go 3 1/2 stars. Burger was delicious but my double burger bun cost Mel's a star compared to bun on my wife's single burger. Chips and fries were very good. We'll be back.
The food was decent, but it didn't live up to the high praise in some of the reviews. It's somewhat expensive, but still reasonable.
The food and staff are awesome. Burgers, Chicken tenders, Caesar Salad, Turkey sandwich, etc. are all delicious. Must try!
OMG. I moved to town a little bit ago, and I finally tried Mel's. It was awesome! Great food, great people!
