The best ramen I've had in the Inland Empire. I'm used to ramen from the SGV or OC, and finding good, authentic ramen can be tough. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were thick with a perfect bite—not too chewy or soft. The portion size was just right for one person; I even considered adding extra noodles and chashu because it was that good, but the original bowl was perfect. I also tried their shishito peppers, which came in a generous portion compared to other places. Overall, the taste was exceptional for the price. I'll definitely be returning.

This spot has a pretty cool atmosphere, with anime intro music playing most of the time, which creates a relaxed and familiar vibe. The food was delicious, and they give a generous amount of pork in the ramen, with flavorful broths. Extra toppings like mushrooms or eggs cost just over a dollar each. Unfortunately, my biggest issue was that I almost had an accident on the drive home after eating. My girlfriend has also been dealing with an upset stomach all day, which has completely derailed our Sunday plans. I visited this restaurant in mid-May 2022 and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the ramen noodle soup, which was both delicious and well-prepared. Although the place was bustling because it was a Friday evening, the wait time to be seated was minimal. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the current inflation. Additionally, the staff were helpful, courteous, polite, and friendly. I would definitely recommend this establishment, although I would advise against visiting on weekends when it tends to be more crowded. One important tip: be sure to wear a face mask, as they will ask anyone without one to leave.
Menkoi Ya Ramen is a charming restaurant located in downtown Claremont. I visited in May 2022 and enjoyed their authentic Japanese dishes, excluding sushi rolls. They also offered a great variety of ramen soups. The ramen I ordered was very flavorful and reasonably priced. If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, I definitely recommend checking this place out! While they didn’t serve alcohol during my visit, they had a good range of non-alcoholic drinks.

Moreover, the bar where I was seated was unusually sticky, which I rarely experience at this establishment. I attempted to cleanse my palate with matcha ice cream, but it turned out to be predominantly bitter. Good matcha ice cream should have a harmonious balance of bitterness and a touch of sweetness, but this was simply unpleasantly bitter.
I settled the bill and left a tip, but I doubt I’ll be coming back.
Ok, so the hubby and our 16 year old loved it. They had Veggie Miso with a hot level of five. Our 10 and 13 year old children did not like their food at all! They had chicken bowls. Which had absolutely zero flavor! As for me, Why doesn't this place have a bar? The customer service is AWESOME, but I think the hubby and 16 year old can visit by themselves. Oh, the green tea cheesecake was yummy!!!!!!
Generally I like their food but I ordered two menkoi chasu ramens to go, and one had no pork while the other had 3 (supposed to be 10). I keep trying to call to let them know the error and can't get through. Probably fine for done in so problems can be corrected. Also, one of the soups had spilled in the bag, and I had to dump bag soup into one of the bowls. ?
My wife and I had a fantastic experience with everything we ordered! We tried the Tonkotsu Kotteri Ramen and the Salmon Roe Bowl. The service was outstanding; the staff was welcoming and attentive, and the prices were quite reasonable. We'll absolutely return the next time we're in town.

I used to enjoy dining here, but recently the quality of both the food and service has declined. A waitress with a ponytail was rude to someone in my group when they asked about making a reservation. Because of this, I chose to leave and go to another ramen spot instead. Food: 5/5
