Mezcal Mexican Restaurant Bar

My family has been frequenting Mezcal since it first opened, with me visiting often from Florida. For years, it was our go-to spot where we knew the staff by name and they knew us as well. However, in the past couple of years, there have been noticeable changes. Some menu items have been discontinued, the food quality has declined, and the drinks aren't as strong. Many of the familiar faces we knew have also left. During a recent visit to celebrate a birthday, we were surprised to see a charge of $15 added to our bill for a birthday package, which included a flan dessert and a birthday song. I've been to this place three times. Neither one of the times was out of this world or stellar. However, the third time was a certainty that this establishment doesn't really care much about what it's doing and how it's doing it. And they don't care to improve it. I'm not certain if it's the staff or the people that patronize this establishment, but it's really bad. the service is bad, the way that they clean up is bad. The servers all standing around and looking at you and talking about you while they're standing there. Under the assumption that you don't speak a lick of Spanish, it's just bad. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere. I really enjoyed the food and will definitely be returning. The service was excellent. We had a sit-down brunch and the price per person was between $20 and $30. The food and service both received a rating of 5 out of 5, while the atmosphere was a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Fajitas.

Food was delicious as always. We got the spinach dip app and it was a bit spicy for me but my friend enjoyed it. We split the shrimp fajita and it was delish. This only comment is the service was rather slow this time which is unusual so not sure why. Reserva una mesa ahora

I have tried everything and it all was delicious. This place has a real authentic feel and you can practice your Spanish here anytime! The guacamole made tableside is exceptional and shouldn't be skipped!

Wednesday nite. Not busy at the bar. Empty dinner plates scattered over the bar. Oh well, sat down. After 10 minutes, NOTHING. No acknowledgement nothing. Left and amazed how they still stay in business.

The restaurant has great food and drinks, we were seated right away. The ambiance is rustic and we have been there twice, both times the food was delicious.

My husband loves the food here. The decor is very colorful and inviting. Service is always fast.
