Mezzrow - Reservar una mesa

I’ve been in both places Mezzrow and Smalls years ago and I remembered it as a great Jazz experience. I couldn’t wait to revisit, but what I experienced tonight broke my heart. Now it’s a business in s costume of scam. Both places charged us way more money than they should, which we realised after leaving (Both of our cards had two payments, first one for entrance and one drink, second ? who knows… The whole idea with forcing ‘another drink for another band’ is just tasteless. I loved to support places like this, now I don’t think I will ever be back. However if you are into Jazz Music try Ornithology : They are like Smalls and Mezzrow used to be.

We did not have tickets but we got lucky and got good seats. The place is very small, but we didn’t mind about that. It made the atmosphere more interesting. As a musician I was there for the music and it was an amazing experience. Drinks are very expensive but I would assume it’s every jazz club bar in nyc.

Hard to find if you book through the Smallz Jazz Club website! The music was fantastic, and the staff was super friendly... but the experience felt a bit like a 'tourist production line. '

The show was amazing. We were so close we could have reached out and touched the band. The drinks were great and the service was even better! I can't wait to come back!

Hidden gem in Greenwich Village. Able to enjoy live jazz performance by reasonable price. Reservation recommended, first come first served seat.
