Mickey's Gyros Ribs

Every time I get to visit my hometown of Oak Park, stopping at Mickey's Gyros for a Riblet sandwich is Mandatory! I don't recall when they first opened, but I believe I've been a customer from the beginning, easily years, and the excellent food is honestly the same today as it was then. And it blows my mind to see some of the same people behind the counter after all these years, the epitome of a mom-and-pop type business! Thanks for that, it really preserves the memories.

I had lunch with a group of friends here after we enjoyed a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright House and Studio. It’s walking distance around the corner. Bonus that they have parking. The food was good and served quickly.

I have been dining at this restaurant for many years. My favorite dishes are the liver dinner, riblet sandwich, and the Big Mickey. The only thing I wish is that the baked potatoes were cooked thoroughly.
