New member is added to Mikomi, a Cat Robot. They have not utilized this robot. When the Robot arrived to the table, the waitress stood next to the robot and put the dish on the table.... Hum .. actually the customer can get it from the robot, extra hand from the waitress is not necessary. When I am in a mood to eat Japanese food, Mikomi is my first choice. It's not the best but decent. Or sushi or sashimi will be better than rolls. Rolls always are not my favorite. The waitress checked with me quite often enen I seated at the patio.
Great service, friendly, and physically a super large restaurant so you never have to wait long but really overpriced for their quality. I think this is an okay spot if you're just looking for convenience or attending the Monrovia faire, but you can find better sushi than what they offer here at the same price. To be honest, it has a very Pasadena-esque vibe.. That is, it feels like they cater to a financially well-off demographic that isn't quite as food-savvy. If you're a foodie or well-versed in sushi, you can skip this place.
The food is always great here, from sushi too sashimi. Tried the salmon this time, came with rice and salad, the skin side was burnt and black unfortunately and that's my favorite part to eat, but the fish was still good. Had a very large cocktail for 2, it was slightly bitter and we didn't finish it and that's not a usual thing for me.
We had our last dinner in Arcadia and we made a great choice by choosing this restaurant. The sushi and nigiri were awesome with excellent rice and fresh fish. I highly recommend it.

Chilean Sea Bass was very good portion and cooked perfectly. Wonderful service. Food is well prepared with great flavors. Thank you Mikomi!
Food is amazing but the service is eh. Sat at the bar for 20 mins before I ordered a drink on a Saturday night
Food was great, their service is bad. Waiters have attitudes and take a long time to check on you.
Do not order the shrimp coconut tempura. It is all batter around a tiny shrimp.
