When I saw Matzo ball soup on the menu, I got excited. A Jewish friend introduced me to this simple, filling bowl of comfort, but there are no Jewish delis around Baton Rouge that I know of. So, on this cold, dreary day, I stopped in and ordered some to go. A short time later, I opened the container and was shocked to see Noodles and tomatoes in a broth. I did eventually find 1 1/2 very small undercooked Matzo balls under the noodles. Now I understand that everyone's Mama cooks things differently, but in my searches for recipes for Matzo ball soup, the balls are large and are not surrounded by anything other than broth. It's called Matzo ball soup for a reason.Will this deter me from trying other items on their menu? No. But I'm afraid this soup is not the bowl of comfort I was hoping for. ?

Powdered dry eggs, uncooked grits, terrible breakfast sausage, and some pretty decent biscuits I have to say. Hostess hooked us up with free coffee because she was busy and the biscuits were nice but overall that breakfast platters were completely terrible and me and my friend did not come close to finishing and found it difficult to eat what we did. Pass on the 8 dollar plate and get a 5 dollar plate from McDonalds. You would be more satified. If you go back all the way to four years, it is saying the same thing. People are saying the same thing about quality and how they have to throw thier food away because it's inedible. Same automated response from owner about changing things and making it better but it seems that it has never happened. Stay tuned for the auto response. Do better...

I had the Hummus Wrap and the simple Salad and both were so satisfying that there is no reason at all to write something negative. A good place for vegetarians and a good place for healthy food.
