The food was excellent and the service was also very good. However, if you want a quiet setting, this is not the place. We went on St. Valentine 's Day and regretted our decision the moment we sat down. We could barely hear each other across the table, which was located very close to other tables. We heard the entire conversation of the party next to us even though we tried very hard to focus on our own conversation which was hard to do due to the noise level. Maybe it is not too bad on a 'regular ' night, but for a romantic dinner, you should consider a larger restaurant with more room between tables.
I came here for restaurant week with my girlfriend and overall the meal was good. I had the burrata cannolo as my appetizer, salmon as my entrée (good not great) and the strawberry cheesecake gelato which I enjoyed. My girlfriend got the rice balls which were very good, the salmon and the bombolini as her dessert. The bombolini was average but everything else was good and the half off wine on Mondays is a sweet deal. I would come back.
We got seated in the back and it was INCREDIBLY loud. I don’t know if it’s the acoustic of the room, but there are only like 5 6 tables back there. The back of the restaurant isn’t as dark and sultry as the front definitely try to sit near the front and NOT the back room. Good food, good drinks!
My partner and I decided to go to Mima for our Christmas dinner this year. We were searching for a cozy atmosphere and tasty food (and good wine!). Mima surpassed our expectations in every way. The salmon and cavatelli dishes we ordered were exceptional! I highly recommend it.

The food was delicious. The wine was cold and smooth. The risotto balls were very tasty, as well as the chickpea dish. The steak was a little over done. The cheesecake was the perfect amount and the flavor was phenomenal.
We have enjoyed Mima’s for many years. Had met a couple of girlfriends for lunch Midweek. All of us felt they stepped up their game As the food was very inventive and delicious. A must go in Irvington.
AMAZING food and service!!!! We were in town for 3 days and ate there 2 days in a row!!!! A must do!!
A true gem. Great menu, great wine list, friendly staff. One of our favorite options in the area.
