It was my friend's birthday and he wanted to try somewhere different to eat. He hadn't been to Ming Moon before, but after searching, he decided we would go there. (Party of four but this is just my opinion I have to say that I was extremely impressed! Not only was everything labelled clearly (Vegetarian, allergies etc but there was a fantastic choice for vegetarians! I can honestly say that I have never been to a place quite like it! This is THE first time that I have ever been somewhere where there were lots of choices, usually you only get one or two! The food was beautifully cooked (tasted absolutely divine! and the desserts were just gorgeous! I cannot recommend and thank Ming Moon enou...
Booked a table and arrived in plenty of time to be informed that the table was only available for 1/2 hour despite the fact that when booking on line we were informed that the table would have to be vacated by 930. (2 hour sitting) Reception did apologise and said that they had to tried to contact everybody yet we had no phone call. She did offer for us to stay for 30 minutes but at full cost, may have considered if cost was reduced. Will not be wasting my energy and petrol visiting this establishment as completely let down. Was looking forward to it but have had a great experience at alternative local restaurant. Next time we fancy buffet we off to cosmos.
Let's start by saying that this is not for the food connoisseur but there is an astonishing choice at an incredible price. There was not just Chinese food but Indian and Japanese as well, and as it was Xmas you could have a roast dinner. Yes it was all pre-cooked and a self service buffet but you couldn't fault it really as with around 100 choices something would suit all tastes. Fantastic choice, fantastic value but don't go there too often as your waistline would quickly increase....
We made a reservation for 8pm, but upon arriving, we were informed that the food would be removed at 9pm as the restaurant was closing at 9.30pm. The quality of the food was disappointing, with some desserts being cold and overly dry, and the fruit appearing to be from a tin. Very limited choice since Lockdown and not worth the 20.00 a head on a Friday night and 21.00 a head on a Saturday. I did expect much more choice. Food not terribly hot and waited around a long time for dishes to be restocked. On a Friday evening we did expect it more ready. Not the usual staff either all quite young. The candy floss lady was very nice though!
Would not recommend, the worst buffet in Wolverhampton easily. A lot of the food was cold, I had to keep asking for them to refill foods, and at 20:10 they started packing things away, the way they were rushing around to get ready to go is crazy, they're was still 50 minutes till close time and I was made to rush my food to get dessert.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The pizza was hard as a rock, the prawns were overcooked and tasteless, and there was black hair found in the sushi. For 20 pounds per person, it was a complete waste of money. I might as well have flushed my 100 pounds down the toilet. Please do not waste your time or money here.
