the fois gras was the best ever! Way better than Pomeroy in Wilmette. . .just really, really good. Miramar is my fave restaurant in Highwood. We love the onion soup, the oysters, the nicoise salade, the steak frites. . so many items! oh, the mussels are really good too. I have to say the Dover sole is nowhere near the one I had north of Amsterdam on the North Sea. . I don't even know if it is really Dover Sole. . . I wouldn't order it again. But I would try the scallops. . they looked very good. . and I definitely would order the steak frites. I also like that the restaurant is not overly loud like many of the current restaurants. .
