I started with the individual Grandma's Pizzette as an appetizer, while the kids opted for regular slices for their dinner. It brought back memories of Italy! The pizzas were incredibly thin, crispy, and packed with that delicious flavor that stays with you long after you leave. I truly felt like I had a taste of Italy today. I’m not sure if it was baked in a brick oven, but it was absolutely amazing! I’m definitely ordering again tomorrow for the Super Bowl. The kids enjoyed the regular pizza, but I can't wait to have the Grandma's Pizzette again!
We ordered a pie. The crust was terrible. It was too thin and soggy. They are very stingy with the cheese they put on the pizza. Their pizza is just terrible. It used to be better but I see that they are skimping on the ingredients. I will never eat there again. I will go to Raimos in Freeport on Merrick Road. Their pizza is GREAT!
I'm not sure about the pizza, but the food in the dining area is fantastic. They remodeled in 2009, adding a party room and a bar, and they host a variety of free events. Freeport could really use more places like this, especially when it's too cold to head to the Nautical Mile.
