I haven't been here in a while. They've remodeled decades ago, and removed the push cart dim sum *childhood memories crushed*. Their service was lackluster for a while there. So I was EXTREMELY hesitant to come here this past weekend. Regardless of what I thought though, these guys have always remained famous enough, that their tiny parking lot has always had issues with people trying to fight for parking spots, and navigating through each other to get in and out, because everyone else just loves to come here. The food was good; we ordered a plate of roast pork from the deli, and it was perfectly crispy. However, the bill came to $102 for four adults and one child—ouch! They charged $1.95 for tea service per person, including the child, which is unusual since other restaurants don’t charge for children’s tea. So, be cautious when you order, as each plate starts at $5, while others can begin at $10 and up. In total, we ordered six dim sum dishes along with the roast pork, a hotpot of tripe, and a regular order of beef chow fun. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish the BBQ beef pie pastry or the orange pastry—they had a flaky dough texture bound with lard, and we couldn't even get a photo of it. I trie...
The restaurant has changed its name to Lee Yuen Seafood. I visited for lunch with a group of 11 friends, and we ordered a set meal for $308. The roast pig was excellent! The soup, however, was a bit bland. The chicken was fresh and tasty, but it wasn't deboned. The lobster with green onion was very good. The fish dish was decent; it featured battered fish with an orange-flavored gravy, which was acceptable. There was also a vegetarian dish with broccoli, mushrooms, black fungus, and oyster mushrooms that had good flavor. The walnut shrimp was particularly enjoyable. Overall, we had a total of seven dishes, including the soup.
This restaurant is my top choice. Out of all the restaurants I know, it’s the one I like the most. I always recommend it to my friends when they’re looking for a place to eat. Whenever I crave a delicious lunch, this is the first place that comes to mind. They offer a wide variety of excellent food and have a large menu. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is great. Plus, the prices are reasonable. I’m always happy to share my positive experiences about this place!

Went there for a banquet (suckling pig banquet $999). Service was great and was able to secure a banquet room so not too noisy (wedding banquet outside). Food was decent considering there was a wedding banquet the same night (would suggest avoiding wedding parties if possible at any restaurants as they can't properly prepare your food to its best ability). Not the best place if you're entertaining out of town friends but decent for eating out on own/family.
I absolutely love this restaurant! I can't believe it took me so long to find this gem in LA. The dumplings are delicious and come in a variety of options, all at great prices with quick service. Honestly, everything is tasty, but I recommend focusing on the dumplings since that's their specialty. I've been there 3-4 times, and it's always been fantastic. My favorites are the soup dumplings and BBQ pork buns. Just a heads up, I'd skip the wings.
Delicious Dim-Sum at reasonable prices. Venue seems clean and staff very friendly and helpful. You pick the Dim-Sum from a paper form and then they bring you the dishes afterwards, no carts involved. Parking is very limited. They have a Hong Kong style BBQ dishes by the entrance. I would definitely come back again.
I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The dishes they serve are appetizing and the stuff is attentive and cooperative. always when we visit this place we enjoy a gorgeous evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.
