I had expected more to be honest. the service is not great, the people were a bit inexperienced and one of the waiters was unexpectedly rude for me and my family. my parents needed more time to understand the menu - because English is not their first language - and the waitress always asked us if we wanted to order. the place was half empty so I didn't understand the hurry. the second time I asked her to wait, we ordered some drinks in the meantime and hoped to buy some time with it) I heard them comment that I "chill out" and continued to ignore us for the rest of the evening. I tried to tell her we were done a few minutes later and even handcuffed in her direction, but nothing. after well...

Overall the experience was good. The food had real care and attention to detail in its preparation. Service was fine enough, but could have been a little faster and perhaps warmer. No big deal. However something was missing and I didn't feel quite so at home in Monty's Deli that I would make a beeline back. It also wasn't such an experience through the atmosphere or service that I would recommend it to a friend when I know a few other Kosher style places across London that have a real reputation and tradition with better value for money.

monty’s deli is just fantastic. the personal is warm, friendly and welcoming and the building is both modern and quirky with some excellent touches that simply add to a really great feeling. that never disappointed me and it wasn't on Sunday. it is fresh and of the best quality they find. try it simply, they will soon be big monty fans like all who tried before them

today for lunch with an American expedition and what a lunch! had an extremely warm welcome from brand and all the staff, and eating that was excellent! it was like I was back in my grandmother's kitchen, only without the debt and accuses. we're coming back, every chance we get. You don't have to be Jewish to live montys. but it's me, and I do it! really delicious and authentic Jewish food. also polite and efficient service. the chicken soup and kneidlach is particularly good, and the chopped liver is deliciously smooth.

Give the young a little business. amazing eating. anyone who needs this taste of new york city, try it. they will not be disappointed. they make their own pastrami and their own bagels.

beautiful place, real hand-cut pastrami and corned bark. brot and bagels are incredible. really a great thing to get a Jewish deli back in the east end. remembers mile end in brooklyn.
