It was with great anticipation that I came to Morning Side Cafe, Having made the trip to Salt Spring specifically to check out their vegan cheese. My experience was quickly soured however after placing my order. My coffee was served to me in a paper cup, which broke my heart. I do not support drinking coffee out of paper, and had already opted out of my morning coffee earlier in the day because I had forgot my travel jar in the car. I also simply hate the feeling of the paper on my lips and in my hands, so I politely asked if my coffee could be transferred into a mug..... and that is when I was hit sharply with a shockingly self righteous attitude, and this is how it went..I was blamed for w...

Morningside is truly a gem of Saltspring Island. The culinary force behind the counter is a wonderful woman named Manon. She puts her heart and soul and a lot of magic into giving people ax experience as deliscious as it is healing. Even if you're a meat eater, her vegan meals and bevvies will leave you more satisfied than any burger our there. Beyond the food, the space itself is a little wonderland. The selection of books to peruse and buy is perfectly curated, and the cob building is about as charming as it gets. Come for a bite and stay for fascinating conversation with the owners and the people around you. Morningside Cafe is 100% Salt Spring Island, and is not to be missed.

Truly nurturing to the heart, I can feel the mindfulness and love in the food, this is why every time I have a breakthrough, after a sacred ritual I got to Morningside to celebrate. It is simply the perfect space to continue the love and nourishment of my Spirit, from the atmosphere and decor right in the heart of Fulford Harbour, the delicious drinks and food. I am always on the hunt for vegan food options in all the towns we visit. I came here with my 'non-vegan' mom and we shared the roasted red pepper sandwich. It was by far one of the very best things I have ever eaten in my entire life! The energy of this place was so calm and inviting, I will come back to salt spring just to eat here! I wish you had a place on the mainland as well.... amazing!!!

Ce restaurant a tout qu'un charme par son look, l'ambiance, les employés, la nourriture!!! Nous sommes complètement tombés en amour. Nous avons commandés la pizza, le panini et le Teff cookie et nos papilles ont été émerveillés. Chaque bouchées étaient savoureuses, les portions sont généreuses et la qualité est exceptionnelle !!!!Merci pour cette belle expérience !!!

So much flavor. Very fresh ingredients, Healthy and so good. Vegan Cheese, Sandwiches, Smoothies all so good. There is Love and soul in the food and place.

Great selection of organic Treats & Eats! Right at the Ferry dock, Can't be beat! We Love this place So Much and have been back so many times!
