Mount Desert Bakery

This café is a great spot with delicious food and friendly staff. We sampled the lunch menu and found the sandwiches to be particularly noteworthy. The tuna sandwich, in particular, stood out as it was not your typical tuna offering. The grilled sandwiches were conveniently wrapped in a paper bag and aluminum foil, perfect for taking on a hike or enjoying in an outdoor setting. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as good Wi-Fi for those needing to get some work done. They also have a variety of coffee options on offer. The only downside was the limited fresh juice selection, with only grapefruit juice available during our visit which wasn't the best.

This place is amazing! I went every morning I was on MDI and even took some for my drive home. The pastries are delicious- try the pumpkin donut and the coffee cake! The veggie bagel sandwich was also GREAT (hello goat cheese!!? . Pro tip- add egg to that sammie! The workers are super kind, positive, and helpful; and the owner seems really sweet. Plus it's just the cutest shop!! Definitely get off the main drag and check it out

Wow! We stopped for scones and ended up coming back later for two more. They were perfectly baked, not too sweet, and the sandwiches were amazing too! The chicken salad was large enough for two meals and incredibly tasty - not too dry or too wet. Definitely worth a visit, especially with the lattes and mocha lattes, which were pretty good, if not the best we've ever had.

Robyn made a stunning birthday cake for us in carrot flavor, and my girlfriend claimed it was the best cake she had ever tasted! A big thank you to Mount Desert Bakery for this delicious treat!

Delicious bagels and coffee, unfortunately there were no vegan pastries or treats, but the staff was great and the café is sweet. Currently (9/1/21) COVID careful request masks inside, thanks
