Mr Chips Fish Diner

A friend of ours told us that she found the best fish and chips place that she has been at and that we had to try it. We had the calamari for a starter and it was very good. The fish and chips were tasty, and the batter was nice and light. You definitely need to add the coleslaw as well. Honestly, I could not think of the last time I had fish and chips that taste so good. The service was great and we even had the opportunity to talk to one of the managers who was very friendly. The decor may put some off as it is not the freshest looking place, although they have already been making some updates. Called in an order for the first time and it all went wrong. The “Lady” taking the order could not get the phone number right. When it went past 45 minutes for the the delivery we called to check and we were asked if she could call back. Well she called back and sounded well (out of it) to say, can I take your order. We cancelled and will not order again. So sorry that we can not support this local business.

Order a family meal 10pcs of white fish and a couple chicken finger dinners….Delivered thru skip Food was well packaged Actually had a couple extra chicken fingers which was a nice surprise! Fed a family of 5 with some leftovers! We will definitely be back… Only thing preventing this from 5 stars would be they need a house tarter sauce not those awful packets

Ordered a 10pc Haddock dinner for delivery. When it arrived, we only got fries... No fish... Called the restaurant and was told they would send it out right away. Waited for over an hour and nobody would answer the phone. So had to go to the restaurant and pick it up myself. No money back for delivery fee or tip... Reserva una mesa ahora

Amazing fish and chips. Love the independent business, and we need to make sure more people go visit this gem of a place. Owner is friendly and food was very tasty. Had the haddock with chips. Next time I'm in the area, will visit again.

Hidden gem! Food was delicious, the portions are big and prices are super affordable!! The gravy was so so good. Amazing atmosphere and amazing service! Definitely will be returning. Support and choose independent restaurants!

Awesome friendly people, quick service and amazing food. One of the only places in town with perch but it's the only place in town that makes it right.
