As like other review, we will never order from them again. Mr Cod, Whitley Street. Others seem ok. Order was excepted at 8.16pm, by 10pm still no food. Called no one answered. If you cant keep up with order and delivery, then change your times as you said one hour. When it arrived after 2 hours First driver said it was nothing to do with him but straight away you could feel food was cold. Gets worse. All chicken burgers with mayo. One daughter has egg allergy , so asked for hers plain. She was very upset and couldn't eat burger. But my meal after paying £29.00 and £3.00 delivery wasn't even with the order. Cod and Chips. Avoid ordering from this restaurant at all costs! Some of the food was missing and what did arrive was cold and bland. I contacted the restaurant after ordering through Uber Eats and specifically requested salt and vinegar on both servings of chips, which they failed to provide. Despite calling to complain about my bad, incomplete, and cold order, the staff member I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. They suggested I place another order through Uber Eats at a discounted price and promised to include the missing items from my original order, but once again, the second order arrived without the missing items. I bought rice and chicken for my 7-year-old son at this restaurant. After a few bites, he started vomiting. I noticed that the rice had gone bad, and when I called to complain, the manager, Anwar, was rude. He admitted that the rice was spoiled and should have been thrown away. I have been a customer of Mr Cod for years, but after this experience, I will not be returning. The quality of the food and service was poor, and the manager's attitude made it even worse.

Mr Cod, which was once the best fish and chip shop in South Reading, is now a restaurant to steer clear of. The fish was overcooked and rubbery, and the chips seemed to be leftovers from the day before. Even the battered sausage was tough and full of gristle. Ordered food at 8.55 still hadn’t arrived at 9.55 called them to be told I never ordered give them the reference number i had was told they would call me back and didn’t bother tried calling them back several times haven’t answered

Waited 1hr 30 mins for food to be delivered. Absolute joke. Food was cold and soggy when I received it. No apology about the delay. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Friendly staff and quick service. The veggie burger and chips with mushy peas was excellent and kindly let me eat in.
