If my Doordash order of Mr. Katsu tasted delicious, I knew that it was going to be more delicious if I came in person to order and to eat it right away. That was definitely the correct call because it tasted amazing! Their katsu sandos are the fluffiest in the area and that is primarily due to the brioche bread that they use. I came on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm and it wasn't too crowded. They make everything fresh to order so you can expect your katsu to be fresh and juicy. You order at the counter and they'll bring your order out. Great food and amazing service, I had the Chicken katsu plate it was seasoned just right and the barbeque sauce was delicious. For all the katsu enthusiasts, Mr. Katsu serves some of the most delicious and largest katsu sandwiches in OC! The casual eatery has a simple but varied menu that features 11 different Asian-fusion sandwiches. Per the shop owner’s recommendation, we got the KFB and crispy potstickers to accompany our meal. And the undeniable standout—The Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich! It was the largest sandwich I’ve eaten in a hot minute and super juicy, flavorful, and crispy! The owner, Claire, let us know that everything is made from scratch and made to order (never frozen)!! Which is super impressive and speaks to the quality of food they serve.

The staff is consistently friendly and incredibly helpful! I've honestly never had a dish here that I didn't love. The chicken katsu sandwich is my absolute favorite in Orange County—no exaggeration! I really hope this place sticks around for years to come. You should definitely give it a try; you'll enjoy the delicious food, the playful wall art, and the charming mustache cat logo. We ordered the Original Sandwich: Pork katsu, coleslaw and katsu sauce on butter a mayo toast. Also the Katsu Curry Sandwich: Pork katsu and Japanese potato curry on buttered toast with daikon radishes. And lastly we got the Umeboshi Goat Cheese Sandwich: Pork katsu, umeboshi aioli, goat cheese and coleslaw. My favorite was the original sandwich, cannot go wrong with the simple things! Also the Umeboshi Goat Cheese was really nice as well!

I absolutely adore this place! I've visited two to three times in a week at most, and at least once a month. My friend's mother owns it, but even before I knew that, I was smitten. I'm completely obsessed with the Umeboshi Goat Cheese; the savory and tangy flavor is amazing! The coleslaw adds a nice crunch and enhances the overall refreshing taste.

The katsu here is exceptional! They use lean, fresh meat that is never frozen. It's made to order and comes out wonderfully crispy. The homemade sauces complement the dishes perfectly. The fries, topped with the sauce and various other toppings, were likely our favorite item from everything we ordered.

This place serves potatoe puffs.It taste fine. They serve katsu bowl. They can make a different variety in those puffs. Price is economical. Tables should be sanitized.
