My rating reflects my experience with the dishes I tried and the service I received. After reading several reviews, it's clear that many others share the sentiment that the Aji De Gallina lacks flavor and doesn't meet expectations. If this is a recurring problem, it would be wise to either improve this dish or remove it from the menu altogether. On a brighter note, the leche de tigre was excellent—full of flavor and a generous portion—but it was oddly served without any fried corn. I asked for a small side of fried corn, but the server never brought it. When our main dishes arrived, I had to ask again, and her response was, "I only have two hands," despite the fact that she was only attendin...

For appetizers, we ordered the Anticucho de Corazon, Leche de Tigre, and Pulpo Anticuchero. Each dish was delightful; the octopus was remarkably tender and packed with flavor, the veal heart was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the Leche de Tigre offered a wonderful hint of the high-quality ceviche to come. For my main course, I had the Fettuccini al Pesto with Skirt Steak. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and seasoned well, while the pasta was just right. The flavor of the pesto was excellent, though there was perhaps a bit too much sauce—it was nearly swimming in it, as you can see in the photo. However, this didn't detract from the overall appeal of the dish. I also en...

This is our second time at Mr.Yellow Pepper. The first was not a great experience but it was during Covid so we decided to give it another chance since we love Peruvian. Ya we are not coming back. Ambiance averageService had to ask for things multiple times. They seemed fully staff there but were doing more socializing among themselves than working. My 5 yo ordered a plain burger (bread, meat, and fries). The order was written correctly but managed to mess it up twice. We shared our entrees with her and packed the burger. It was like ordering/serving food was an inconvenience to the staff. Food Ugh. Food was mediocre. The steak was dry. I have to give credit that the ceviche was fresh but co...

I was disappointed by the service during my visit. With a group of 20, there simply weren't enough waitstaff to cater to us. While our orders were taken, several items were missing, and many dishes arrived at irregular times. We had to remind the waitstaff about the items that hadn't been served, and it was especially frustrating that many of our drinks never arrived. On a brighter note, the atmosphere was fantastic. The background music resonated perfectly with the Peruvian theme, and the lighting was thoughtfully designed, creating a lavish ambiance. The restaurant also offered plenty of seating, comfortably accommodating a large number of guests. Overall, I would give this restaurant an... Reserva una mesa ahora

I feel bad leaving this review as our waitress was sweet, but as someone who frequents restaurants from fine dining to chain restaurants, the only thing appetizing were the bread and drinks. The Seafood all around was not fresh, very rubbery and slightly slimy, then I was unable eat my meal as it was completely covered is a watered down fake cheese. The rest of my party picked at their meals but ultimately we decided to pay and leave for dinner elsewhere, I would recommend waiting until quality of food is prioritized.

We went to this restaurant last weekend based on a recommendation and had high hopes. The ambience is nice and the place is huge. The service was average I guess noting extraordinary. The food was ok relative to other Peruvian restaurants in Clifton, Passaic, etc. It's the first restaurant that did not have aji verde sauce that should give you an idea of the restaurant. Portion wise you it's not disappointing but overall it's not a do over for us. Therefore, I give it a 3 star.

As a Peruvian chef from a nearby town, I can confidently say that this restaurant serves the finest Peruvian cuisine in the region.

The food was excellent and the waiter made great recommendations. The passion fruit drink was perfect and the pisco sour. Reserva una mesa ahora
