I can't believe this restaurant has such a high rating. Honestly, it's the worst Japanese restaurant I've ever visited, and I've been to quite a few. Everything was dry and lacked flavor, and the service was abysmal. It took two waitresses just to respond to my question about whether the crab was imitation or real. I'm really upset about wasting $40 here. When I spoke to the waitress about it, she didn't have much to say, and I ended up leaving with takeout boxes of food that I paid $40 for, only to go home and make my own lunch because it was so disappointing. I’m not sure why some people leave negative reviews, but having tried many sushi spots around DFW, my first experience at Mt Fuji Hibachi Steakhouse was very positive. The prices were comparable to other restaurants, the presentation looked appealing, and the service was solid in my opinion. We ordered four different rolls, all of which were well crafted and delicious—none of them fell apart like you sometimes see elsewhere. The menu offered a good variety of rolls and other dishes as well. The only minor issue was that our table was a bit sticky and could have been cleaned better. I will definitely return!
The Mt. Fuji restaurant in Mt. Pleasant serves exceptional sushi! While their selection of fish may not be extensive, the quality of what they do offer is excellent. We regularly choose the sashimi and have always been pleased with it. Their salmon is truly outstanding, and we've tried sushi at numerous places throughout the country.
The service was a bit slow, but the food was outstanding as usual. I enjoyed a vegetable hibachi lunch with miso soup and also tried the delicious new Sweetheart Roll special. It had the perfect balance of spice, crunch, and savory taste, all beautifully plated.

I love Mt Fuji Hibachi Steakhouse! It’s such a refreshing change of cuisine in this town. The menu always offers fresh, flavorful dishes served promptly. We’ll be loyal customers as long as they’re open!
The service was quick and the food was amazing! We will definitely come back! Next time, we intend to try one of the sushi boats!
