I had my first dining experience at this restaurant and it was fantastic. The service was exceptional; our waitress was attentive right from the moment we were seated. I ordered the Chicago Hot Dog with onion rings, while my husband went for a cheeseburger and French fries. Each meal came with a soda, but we decided to switch that out for a shake and a malt instead. The food was served quickly and was of top-notch quality—the burger was cooked perfectly, and both the fries and onion rings were delightfully crispy. The malt and shake were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!
The restaurant seemed to be short-staffed in the kitchen, as we waited 70 minutes for our food after they misplaced our order. On a positive note, the vintage decor was charming, and the restaurant was bright and clean. The cheese curds were a bit on the salty side and the portion was small for the price, but they were tasty overall. Once it finally arrived, the burger was well-cooked and nicely prepared. However, I found the prices to be slightly high, especially with a soda costing $5. The house-made ice cream was excellent, served in a waffle cone, though I felt the cone was a bit thin for the ice cream.
What a hidden gem! We frequently explore small towns in Wisconsin to find charming spots like this one, and Mullens is undoubtedly one of the best we've discovered. The bacon cheeseburger burrito is truly delicious! The ice cream is fantastic as well. Be prepared for a bit of a wait and remember to be patient with the staff. It was quite busy during our visit, but the employees handled the crowd remarkably well. We will definitely be back!
I went back for the first time in 45 years and took my wife with me to share my enthusiasm. The ice cream was even more delicious than I remembered, and the service was outstanding. I certainly plan to visit again, hopefully much sooner. If you’re ever in Watertown and love ice cream, this is the spot to check out!

Absolutely amazing! It's a must-visit when you're in Watertown. If I lived nearby, I'd probably weigh over 350 pounds and happily indulge until the end. Every visit is a unique and memorable experience.
This place is amazing! My family and I love eating here. The food is always good and the ice cream is great. The waitresses were very attentive, although they were packed. Definitely recommend!
Stopped by with my son and we enjoyed ourselves very much! Milk shakes are very large and the food was tasty. Good value too. Will be back for sure!
The food was not that great but the service was awesome. The 2 ladies that served me were both very friendly and helpful.
