I found Murphy’s through a recommendation of a friend and a review from a local magazine. My mother recently passed away, and it was a great place to hang out, given the grief that I was and am facing. I also am a history buff, and I appreciated the bar’s regional significance during Prohibition. Heather was nice, and at first, Robb was nice. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by an unfriendly bartender before I could even place my drink order. She made me feel quite uncomfortable, and her friends sitting at the bar laughed snarkily, which added to the unprofessional atmosphere. I decided to give it another chance because I liked the ambiance and the drinks, but I encountered the same negative attitude from the same bartender. Sadly, I won’t be returning to this bar again.
This place was fun. It's unassuming from the outside, which I guess is the point. It was a real speakeasy back in the day which is so fascinating. The owner is very nice. They have a few small bites, like a bar pie. It was quiet when we were there which was nice for grabbing a drink and relaxing for a minute, but the owner mentioned it can get busy later on weekend nights.
Best shuffle board table in the state a really fun bar experience that makes you feel like you’re back in college. A real mix in ages makes for an interesting evening

Band a bit too loud, but attentive, personal service and cold beer! Worth a visit... And stay a bit!
