I have no idea why this place doesn?t have better reviews, but I?m a fan of local eateries that have excellent food! By all means this place is just that! ?? I?ve been searching for a decent breakfast spot around Irvine area that would deliver foundno avail, until I found this little gem. Me my associates are obsessed with many of their items. Their Eggs Benedict, FrenchToast, Two Eggs are the go to! Im a fan of French Toast have not found a place that does it perfect like MUSTARD CAFE!???????????? I?m trying to work around the menu to try everything and so far it?s been wonderful! Thank you so much for thedelicious food! Please keep up the great work! I can?t wait to actually visit this loc...
I don’t understand why Mustard Cafe isn’t more highly rated because it’s an exceptional local spot with fantastic food. While searching for a great breakfast in Irvine, I discovered this hidden gem. My coworkers rave about many dishes on the menu, especially the Eggs Benedict, French Toast, and classic two eggs — all amazing choices! As a French Toast lover, I can say hands down that Mustard Cafe makes the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been trying different dishes each visit, and every meal has been excellent. Thank you for such delicious food! Keep up the great work—I’m already excited for my next breakfast here. I truly love this place!
Perhaps they were just overwhelmed last Sunday (2/9/22). Perhaps they have s new cook. In any event, we were s party of 6 and ordered within minutes of each other. The first order came out in about 15 or 20 minutes. The second order came out in about 30minutes. The last order came out in about 45 minutes. The food was okay, however the French fries were cold. My club sandwichwas served on a baguette, so it was a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich since it wasn't the traditional three slices of breadclub sandwich. I might go back in a few months or at least at a time when it isn't busy.

My club sandwich was served on a baguette, making it more of a turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich rather than the classic three-slice club sandwich. I might give it another try in a few months or during a less busy time.

I really enjoyed the turkey sandwich, but the Monte Cristo was a letdown—it didn’t feel authentic at all. Everything else I've tried has been great, except for the fries and that Monte Cristo, which were both disappointing. I would definitely avoid ordering the Monte Cristo.

The potato pancake lox eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious. This was my first visit to Mustard Cafe, and I'm so glad I decided to order it. The coffee was excellent as well.
The food at Mustard Cafe is delicious, but the service was very slow. I waited more than 30 minutes for just one dish to be served.
