Mythos - Reservar una mesa

I had made a reservation for 10 people for brunch, but when we arrived at Mythos, we were told that they usually do not accept reservations for Sunday brunch. However, because we booked through OpenTable, they made an exception. It was strange because I had no issues making the reservation, but if the restaurant doesn't usually accept reservations on Sundays, they should have closed their availability. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. One person in our group had to wait 45 minutes longer than everyone else to receive their meal, and they had to ask for it multiple times. Mythos is a good Greek-style coffee shop/restaurant where I have eaten many times. I noticed recently that they were on Open Table and made a reservation for a Sunday at lunch time, when I know they are busy. When I arrived and told the waitress I had a reservation via Open Table, she said: oh, we 're not using Open Table today, with the result that I had to wait with everyone else even though I had a reservation. So if you make a reservation using Open Table, don 't assume they will honor it.

Only wine/beer, no liquor, so we ordered a bottle of wine. Expectations weren't too high to start, but the wine was very sweet and syrupy. Stick to beer. Had the lamb shank usually my favorite dish. The lamb was perfectly cooked fall off the bone quality, but the sauce it was cooked in wasn't as flavorful. Took the rest home the portions are large! and doctored up for better result. Friend had one of the specials dish cioppino like meal that was OK. Service was nice.

the beef souvlaki wrap was great as was my side of home fries and the pita bruschetta appetizer, but our waitress was almost non-existent. Never came back to fill us up for water and did not indicate any options of sides we can choose from for entrees even though it was indicated on the menu which led to me having to flag her down to give our selections. Good outdoor view for elmwood people watching though.

Mythos is mostly American but has a number of Greek dishes on the menu. I like the lamb chops. Well marinated and flavorful, and very fairly priced. Accompanying rice was also delicious, and the Greek salad that also came was bountiful but more or less averages. Companion had an excellent chicken and beef mixed grill. Would go back.

The place was great: food was excellent, atmosphere great, and reserving through Open Table cut our wait time from almost 2 hours, to about 15 minutes. The only issue was the cold. It was so cold inside, that we had to wear our coats...

I went to brunch on Sunday and the food was delicious with a wide variety of choices. It was a bit noisy, but I enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the other diners on a lovely Spring morning.

I went there with my husband and got an excellent service. Both of our dishes were very tasty. Our waitress was super cool. Keep it up!

the service is always excellent at Mythos and they cater to any dietary requests, fun holiday decorations

The service at this restaurant is exceptional, the food is delightful, and the atmosphere is lovely.
