I needed some comfort food on my way home through NYC today, so I stopped for a late lunch at Nancy’s Restaurant in Floral Park. I had a fabulous meal at the bar while watching TV and enjoying the cozy fireplace nearby. To start, I had an incredible French onion soup, followed by a deliciously huge burger with fries and beer on tap for my husband. I ordered one of the specials, hand-rolled gnocchi with braised pork and mushrooms. The sauce was light and, although it definitely wasn't part of my diet, the flavors made it well worth the calories. The owner, Vicky, was extremely kind and welcoming. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The service was just as impressive, also receiving a full 5. This is one of the best places on Long Island! It's a family owned business that cares about the food and service. The feel is very homey and welcoming. The food is always fresh and delicious. The pasta here is better than in Italy. I've come on different occasions, it's perfect for large parties as well. The price point is great for the food they service. Don't overlook this hidden jem. Was part of a group of about 50 patrons on Sunday 8/6/23. Service was excellent for such a large group. After everyone arrived, service was fast and efficient. Food was very good.
