I stayed at The Hamilton Arms because I had to be in the area early the next morning. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening. Despite the crowd, a kind customer insisted I be served before him due to old-fashioned chivalry, which I greatly appreciated as a solo female diner. I ordered a bottle of wine, which was served with an ice bucket and stand. The chicken satay I ordered was the freshest I've ever had, served with both peanut sauce and a delicious cucumber dip. It was so filling that it could almost pass as a main course. My pork sweet and sour main dish with coconut rice was equally delicious, with a delicate and fresh flavor. My wife and I spontaneously stopped by for lunch at this restaurant with our large dog, without a reservation. We were pleasantly surprised to be invited inside, even with our wet and smelly pet. We opted for the Thai set menu, which offered great value at around £9 per course. I enjoyed the chicken red curry while my wife had the vegetarian rice noodles. The food was delicious and generous in portion. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with ample parking available. We will definitely return to try out the dinner a la carte menu next time.
This place is a hidden treasure and offers the very best Thai cuisine I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Staff are lovely, the restaurant is quirky and authentic to its history, yet tucked in a local pub. I'll never get board of this place and is worth the commute from Portsmouth to Stedham each time (once a month). Love love love it!
We tried takeaway from Hamilton Arms for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. Our order included Tom Kah chicken soup, spring rolls, Beef Massaman curry, and Roast Duck Red Curry with rice. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. We were very satisfied with our meal and will definitely be returning.

An early dinner (7 o'clock) so restaurant was quite quiet. However service was polite and efficient and the food was an absolute delight. Chose a set menu for two and frankly each dish was tasty and well presented and more than enough for two people. A really pleasant experience.
The food never disappoints at The Hamilton Arms. Incredible authentic dishes, that not only look amazing but they taste delicious. The service is impeccable and we cannot wait to return.
We have stayed outside in our Motorhome several times and always had an amazing authentic Thai meal. We have always found the service and food superb. The locals are very friendly too.
Absolute treat. We stayed in one of their beautiful guest rooms which was clean, bright and modern. Wonderful Thai food for dinner, so good we stayed for lunch the next day.
