Nelsons At The Park

We found this place whilst staying in Felton for the week. Was so good we visited three times throughout our stay. Family and dog friendly, the staff were attentive, helpful and so good with our 5 year old. Excellent venue with the play area outside. Homemade wholesome food, made our way through the menu with toasties, quiche, and the soup was so good. The cakes are unreal, traybakes tasty and the cream scone outstanding. Doggie and kids menu are both brilliant. Cannot fault this place. Finished our week off with breakfast before heading up the road, full English tasty and the pancakes fresh. The wait for the food is because its obviously made to order. Recommend booking a table at peak time...

After buying a cuppa and a cake and on my way out the door, my toddler wandered over near to the counter (to where they come out with the food). As quickly as I could I guided him away, but I was very quickly barked at by a member of staff to move my child as hot food comes out. Thought it was a bit harsh as I was in the process of moving him away. She could see that! I understood the concern but no need to talk at me in that manner! I was trying to pick him up, but in typical toddler style screamed out, arching his back. I was trying my best. So I thought her reply was a bit unsympathetic.

I had been wanting to try Nelsons for some time, and it was worth the wait. The food and service were excellent, I couldn't find any faults. We really enjoyed our sandwiches and cakes, they were delicious, clearly made in-house with generous portions. We will definitely return to try more items and will be recommending it to others. I recommend booking a table in advance as it was busy when we visited, thankfully we had made a reservation.

We were so glad to find this lovely cafe! As it’s December it’s so festive and really cheered up a rainy grey day. The breakfast, we all agreed, was the best we have ever had. So delicious and fresh. Perfect before a walk in Northumberland. The staff were so helpful and friendly too. We will be back! Reserva una mesa ahora

We arrived in the mid-afternoon after a long, cold walk. It was nice and warm inside, as were the staff! We had coffee, scones, and a brownie this time. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. It's always a pleasure to come back to this restaurant.

Stopped for refreshments here on our road trip. Excellent location just 2 minutes from the A1 Lovely cafe with good selection. On the pricey side but fresh, good quality and nicely presented. Bonus was the nice playback which kept 2 energetic kids amused for ages.

I rode my bike to this restaurant. It's always the best for a scone with jam (delicious). The only downside was the coffee was too hot and burnt my mouth. They need to lower the temperature. But overall, this place is excellent with always positive vibes.

Better half and daughter in toe and one Northumbrian breakfast later very happy man. The team are always good craic and the food excellent cakes always too tempting.

Very expensive breakfast, doesn’t include a drink either. £6 for a sausage sandwich poor quality sausage too. Definitely won’t be going back there.
