On Friday, New Deal introduced a special fried fish meal, and it was a delightful experience. The coating is wonderfully crispy, while the catfish inside is moist and tender. The house-made tartar sauce is simply fantastic—bright, creamy, and with just a hint of zest. I'm typically not a fan of coleslaw, but this version is vinegar-based and refreshing, without being overly mayonnaise-y. I was thoroughly impressed!
A long-standing fixture in Greenbelt's vibrant culture, this restaurant offers delicious food, great drinks, and an amazing stage for entertainment. I've enjoyed performances from many talented acts here. Currently, host Joe Harris organizes a weekly open mic event for singer-songwriters. I highly recommend this venue for its welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
The food was excellent, and the presentation was impressive. I had salmon, mac and cheese, a pint, and with a 20% tip, the total was just $20—what a fantastic deal! The staff was also very friendly. I’m definitely going to make this one of my go-to places.
My son is sensitive to milk and he was thrilled how delicious the vegan lasagna was! We need to learn to cook with vegan cheese. I ordered the salmon and vegan Mac and Cheez – also delicious. We also liked to hear the live music. Reserva una mesa ahora
played a gig here and was pleasantly surprised to have a packed house of cool alt kids, boomer hippies, and various suburbanites to bop along to our jazz and funk numbers. great food, great staff, great vibes
So happy that they have started back up with live music again. Great place to hear the finest local artists while enjoying a wonderful dinner. You might even find yourself dancing!

"The food at this restaurant is fantastic! We did have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated since we didn't make a reservation. The service was excellent. We enjoyed a brunch meal, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. The food and service both get a 5 rating, while the atmosphere was a 4. We highly recommend trying the Chicken and Waffles and the Salmon and Grits dishes."
