New King Wah - Reservar una mesa

We used this restaurant when it was the the Old king wah in town over the savoy cinema and have been many times since. We havnt had a takeaway from there for a long time so thought we would give it a go. Have to say its the worst Chinese/cantonese takeaway we have ever had, some of it was inedible! When I arrived to collect it the staff were all arguing between themselves and were very abrupt with me. One dish was missing!The food was disgusting and prepared and packed with no care at all. The curry dish was so so salty that we just couldn’t eat it, I mean I like salt but this was something else!! Has been good over the years but would not consider going again for sit down or takeaway.

Went for lunch and settled in looking forward to our Chinese delight. The place was empty, utterly bereft of life, it was quite unnerving to be honest. Eventually a server ambled over to the table in the manner of Julie Walters 'Two soups ' and took our order. What really annoyed us about the restaurant was that the food was really very nice indeed, we enjoyed what there was hugely. But there lies the problem, there wasn 't very much of it at all. I 'm not sure who decided on the portion size but it wasn 't with adults in mind. Such a shame. Consequently for what we paid we felt short changed. Hopefully, we just v=caught the staff on an off day...

Shocked how much the prices have risen and the portions shrunk. We were always guaranteed a satisfying meal here at a reasonable price but left hungry and skint. Won't return in a hurry.

We had an excellent retirement meal with good friends and food was excellent. Staff were very good, polite and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble when we asked for it. Great night out.

hidden over this restaurant. what a Jewel. fantastic eating good atmosphere very busy. love it.
