New Town Chinese

OK, to be honest this used to be my local Chinese takeaway and I moved away some 20 years ago. Yes I've been back forth over that time but never had a takeaway from there. Beginning of this month I'm visiting with my son and we have lockdown restrictions so no restaurants are open near the hotel we're staying at so what the heck, I'll get a chinese. OMG! It's just as good as I remember it. Not only do the same family run it but the food is just amazing and you really get your moneys worth. So we're back again and this time my sister is in tow and we again head to the Chinese for a takeaway, she orders what seems like a meal for one but there is so much that she can't finish it (we helped) but it's genuinely amazing food for brilliant value, you can't go wrong.

I didn’t like this Chinese when I first started coming here as chips are chip shop style and dishes are old fashioned! But as only one originally the area I sometimes had no choice but to order here! But I got used to it,it’s only when I ordered from other Chinese places I actually appreciated how nice it was! Yeah the dishes are a little basic but have added a few new ones -but it’s generous portion sizes which when your a big family make a huge difference ! Weekends are a nightmare to get through-u literally could phone 100 times over 2 hours and still not get through lol …..but I guess that shows how popular it is! Crispy beef is delicious,chow mein good -hot and spicy prawns are the best ! All in all a great little Chinese

Had a take away meal last weekend on the recommendation of my daughter who has always sung their praises. It was without a doubt the best takeaway I have ever tasted, be prepared to wait a while when they're busy but it's well worth the wait.

i used to have food from here for years until i moved away , when i moved back , couldnt wait to have food from here . as usual , was totally delicious

My family enjoy a Mary 's once a week and it never fails to be a fantastic treat. No-one can do crispy beef like Mary 's
