New Wind Restaurant

We ate here last night after exploring Chapel Street and surrounding area. It was busy outside, with some tables available inside. As it was a warm night, we took an outside table.I had the kangaroo lemongrass with boiled rice; my friend had the pho.The lemongrass flavour in my dish was a little more subdued than I would have liked, with the other spices (especially chilli) coming through stronger. Despite that, dish was nicely flavoured overall and the meat tender. I polished off the entire meal.The pho was slightly thinner than my friend liked, but overall, she enjoyed it.I would be happy to eat here again, but there are a lot of other restaurants on Chapel Street we haven't tried yet...

Hubby and I were looking for some wherever to eat late at night (almost 11pm). This place appeared to be making preparations to close soon (Google indicates they close at 11pm), but when we asked the lady if they were still serving, she said yes and even offered us meals and drinks at their happy hour prices, despite the fact that their advertised happy hour finished at 6pm! The food we had was good and plentiful and the cocktail nice and strong. The service is fantastic and friendly. Highly recommended.

Went for a early dinner..ordered roti with peanut sauce..roti undercooked but peanut sauce was very nice..steamed chicken dim sims was a serve of 5 when menu clearly states 8 pieces..queried this and the waiter wasnt interested...go figure? Ordered a main veggie green curry..lots of tofu to fill the dish..not a great curry that needed to be spicier..the pad thai was very nice n tasty..would re order that meal...very average...will not re visit..

Nothing special about the venue but it reflects the very reasonable prices. Also the food was very tasty and if you are looking for value for money, then this is the place. Unfortunately they were understaffed and flustered, I'm guessing they were prepared for a quiet night. That said, half way through our meal, help arrived so they did what they could to rectify this. Would we return? Given the prices it was value for money, so, yes we would! Reserva una mesa ahora

Popped in for lunch as I live in the area and wanted some Vietnamese. Was there about an hour and the only one there. Food was average and not much service, as I was the only one there you would I wouldn't have to wait too long, but as it happened I waited.

We went into this restaurant wanting some pho, original beef and some typical Vietnamese style dishes. Wow. We loved it. The food was fresh and tasty, it's a cute family run restaurant. Would defiantly recommend it to a friend. Best Fried rice in town!

Always reliable and you can nearly always walk in without a booking. Service is very efficient and dependable. It is more a laminex tables place rather than fine dining. A good standby in Chapel Street.

Came here for lunch. Waited nearly half an hour for a vermicelli salad, that had literally three pieces of tofu and all the veges you don't want to eat (like celery). Wouldn't return. Reserva una mesa ahora

Ordered Vietnamese pancake which my boys hadn't tried before & they were really impressed , then we all had a good pho, good healthy fresh meal for us all.
