Do not work here. Management is horrid and does not care about you. I wasnt trained by the manager but I was trained by other servers. This led to me being left confused about policies and ultimately fired over it. You have to tip out the kitchen, bar AND the house 2% of your total sales. Leaving you with only 2/3 of your tips, (if that). There is a 5$ cover charge that you must charge guests after 7 pm certain days, even if the guests have been there for multiple hours prior to 7pm. People understandably argue against this and it becomes your problem to deal with. There was hair in the food a few times as well. Not sure if you ever thought of it? Host a family brunch in the pub! Just had my Mother-In-Laws 80th birthday party here. 30 guests, great space, relatively quiet on a Sunday morning, amazing service and fantastic breakfast! Couldn't ask for better service from Serena and Sandra, they were great! Our surprise went off without a hitch and we couldn't have done it without NewCastle. Decent food and GREAT service. Ever disappoints for a quick lunch durning the work day. We occasionally hit up this pub after work as it’s in the industrial part of Edmonton and it’s always a good time. Highly recommended if your in the industrial area and looking for a decent place for a beer and good food with the team.
I was short. The barlayout was beautiful and open. The bartender was attentive and knew how to mix a drink. The live band had finished their second song when I had to leave. The band and the drinks were so good I wish I could have stayed. I'm going back to be able to stay for a whole show.
We order from here almost weekly. We have tried so many things and everything we have tried is absolutely amazing! I am so impressed by the portions and prices. This place is the poster child for amazing pub food! Very recommended. I'll have to buy shares in the company soon.
