I've been going here off and on for years and some of my work colleagues really like it. We actually used to go here once a month for breakfast when they used to open earlier. So I decided that it's about time that I write a review. Today I had the Redwood salad that was very tasty and filling. When I first got it the salad looked a little small but it had a lot of chicken on it. I can honestly say that I have not had a bad meal at this establishment. I've been coming here for years, and many of my colleagues are big fans. We used to visit once a month for breakfast when they opened earlier. So, I figured it was time to write a review. Today, I had the Redwood salad, which was delicious and quite filling. At first glance, the salad seemed a bit small, but it had plenty of chicken. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal here. I seriously used to love this place. Now not so much. The price of a chicken Greek salad is ridiculous. Not to mention the size of the salad has shrunk as well. I've been coming here since they opened and it's been a clear progressive decline in quantity, quality, and an uptick in price. I went in today for a carryout and was overcharged by almost a dollar versus the menu price and the woman did not even move to give me a refund of the difference. Unbelievable. Even though this place is convenient based on where my job location is, I'll drive an extra mile or two to get a reasonably priced salad that's of good quality.
Place was extremely clean and the staff was very attentive and pleasent. The reason it only got a 3 star was because the prices were pretty steep I ordered a chicken caeser wrap and it came with Italian dressing and was barely wrapped. It was extremely messy and I paid over $8 for it and it didn't even come with a side. It 's good food but I 'm still in receipt shock that my fries were more than $5. I sort of expect coney islands to have better prices on sides and appetizers- especially when the waitress says Would you like fries with that as well? . The fries cost almost as much as the burger. Other than that the restaurant is nice and clean. Very sleek and modern interior for a place that sells diner food.
Service is good and wait staff is pleasant. However the food is unbelievably over priced for what it is, Leo's and other coneys are much better. Have never had a meal that was satisfying. It's close to my work and a lot of auto suppliers and convenience is really the only reason I ever return. But charging 12 dollars for a chicken Greek salad that is sub par at best is a bit ridiculous.
Always faster service and correct orders. This is a lunch place favorite for the locals so come early. If I know I'm here for lunch, I'm trying to get 11. Food is fast, hot and delicious. Wait staff is friendly and always smiling. Tap these ladies well, they work very hard for them here.
