I WISHED my birthday experience was better than it was. This was our first time at Nineteen 61. I will begin with our server being 10/10. Nothing was his fault and he was very attentive. We had a reservation for 6:30 on a Sunday and arrived on time to check in. They let us know our table was still being prepared, no problem. We waited. 20 minutes passed until we were finally seated. We were starving at that point so we ordered our meals shortly after we sat down. We got a complimentary cheese bread bites appetizer and a complimentary Amuse-bouche appetizer. my wife is a lover of Cuban coffee. we had a conference here in Laleland for the weekend. She said she wanted a Cuban coffee, so I saw some places. this place was on, but had the best reviews. we drove the extra distance to try this place. in first line this is definitiw no Cuban place or even a Latin place. the server didn't even know what a quesito is. second, the croquetas are not croquetas. it's $9 for 4 balls, smaller than a golf ball. croquettes are usually not shaped in balls, but that's okay. but they did not taste like croquetas. they tasted like a frozen combed food. they were sad!

This is an amazing restaurant. The menu has a variety of options and everything I have tried has been wonderful. It is VERY busy so make a reservation or expect to wait a bit. The bar has so many cool options to drink and not just alcoholic. The have a great coffee bar. The service is also pretty good and you get your food in a timely manner.

we are here to celebrate our jubilee and move to lakeland. the food was delicious and the service was very impressive. dirty dishes were only for a minute on our table before they were quickly thrown away. the cocktails are also phenomenal. highly recommended!

chef marcos and his team are great! my man and I love to go there for date nights. it's one of our favourites to eat! eating is always delicious. the service was always great. the 1961 salat and the tres leachekuchen are from this world!
