the atmosphere was interesting as an evening club. we sat right away without waiting. Maybe it should have been a sign. after a dae came the server returned to other 2 drinks icy and a miller liter. I asked for an arnold palmer, but she said they were from the limonade, okay. we ordered a bevel ring to start, which was in order. evening I ordered lasagna with meat sauce, woman ordered auberginenflorentin. both came with salatsohn had steak sandwich. salat was good, but the lasagna and the aubergines came to table as they had been prepared some time earlier in the month and were frozen and again plucked with sauce above. the steak on the sandwich had also been heated again, which undoubtedly...
My last review was seven years ago so here 's my update. This place has not changed in the many years I 've been coming here. The crowds may be down a tiny bit but sitting in the bar area in either a booth or at the bar is the place to be, not the dining room at the other end of the restaurant IMO. This time we sat at the bar and had wonderful service from the very attentive bartenders. When you sit at the bar and have dinner at the bar, their policy is that you 'll order drinks from the bartenders but not any food. The bartenders will summon a server to take your food orders. You will have two tabs to pay. I little quirky I suppose but it works for them. Our dinner server was a little crabb...
Friends suggestion we done here and we were encouraged by the strong cocktails and beer on tap. We enjoyed a sausage pizza as an appetizer and were very pleased. The crust was thin and well done at our request. Our server was old…..and tired…..and cheerless….and bored. The minestrone soup was ok but a bit short on vegetables and the cold slaw bland. It definitely needed something to be more than cabbage salad. I went with Marvin’s Shrimp which was as described…overly deep fried shrimp cut mysteriously into half pieces….. with butter, which was not good in my opinion, to a mild shrimp sauce. Overall, the Nite-n-gale is a great "step back in time Resturant. It is like an ole ' supper club. The older Asian bartender makes a great Old Fashion!! The last time we were there, which was a few weeks ago, things had appeared to go downhill. Server 's were in sweat suits and my moneybags pasta was not up to the same standard it had been. We know things have been challenging since COVID so allowing for the benefit of the doubt, we are hoping for the best for the establishment.

the first time there as a quite new transplantation to this area frim nyc. atmosphere is great. decor reminds me of one of my favorite steak houses in ny Donahue’s. the eating here was excellent I had the filet mignon and it was steak house quality and served on a bed of mushrooms. good sidea and salat to begin. beautiful cocktails and bar crowds. it becomes a regular place to dinner!

Their website says they close at 10 pm. We arrived on a Saturday at 8:57 (according to my iPhone) and were told their kitchen was closed. Really? We left and won't be back.
Just had my birthday party there for 25 people. Ribs, bbq chx, and these artichoke puffs that are only on the catering menu.

great service. rib were a little disappointing- had high hopes, but not delivered. Bar scene was quite actiw!
great retro joint. old school standards, think walleye. extremely reasonable drinks too. a must try.
