WORST customer service experience. Food is NOT GOOD. AVOID THIS PLACE! As a big family, we celebrated 4th, 8th and 30th birthdays here tonight. We brought 2 cakes. The waitress informed us there was a cake fee of $2 per person. We politely asked the waitress if that applied to both cakes. She deferred to the manager, sitting at an adjacent table. In response, the manager exclaimed WHAT? , jumped up and began YELLING at us that there was no accommodation, it would be $2 per person per cake, no exceptions. This restaurant is far from authentic Thai cuisine. We ordered four dishes: 1. Som tam (papaya salad) 2. Kha prao (spicy basil chicken) 3. Drunken noodles 4. Green curry. The only dish that even resembled authenticity was the green curry, likely because they used a commercial green curry paste. The papaya salad was excessively sweet; it should be spicy, tangy, and savory from the fish sauce and lime/tomato dressing. The kha prao was disappointing—it resembled more of an onion and bell pepper stir fry with hardly any basil. The original owner is back! The restaurant has been renamed Jaydsiri Thai Bistro, and the food is absolutely delicious. We've dined here twice for dinner and once for lunch, and we're excited to make this a weekly tradition. It's wonderful to see the owner again, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They use the freshest ingredients, so be sure to come back and support this fantastic restaurant!
I visited this restaurant a few times while spending time with friends in Great Neck. We were a group of six, and despite the restaurant being full, the food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. The staff were also very friendly. I definitely plan to return!

The food and service at this restaurant are outstanding. The Thai cuisine is exceptional, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I highly recommend the Pad Thai and calamari—they're the best!
This restaurant is not impressive. The dishes are overly saturated with butter, and the cooking feels quite lazy. I would recommend trying Sarin Thai or Bangkok Avenue instead.
