TLDR: Excellent handmade noodles and traditional pastries easily one of the best that I 've had in the SGV 626. Aside from the exceptional food and affordable cost, service was outstanding throughout the night. I visited Northern Cafe unsure of what to expect. There are many Northern Cafe in the SGV 626 area, but I 've never been to this one despite having been to Monterey Park so many times. No surprise, though, as it 's quite hidden between buildings. Parking is easy in the large lot nearby. I ordered the House Special Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, and having been the last person in my party to show up didn 't think twice about what I was ordering. Came here to try based off reviews and recommendations. The restaurant is extremely clean and bright inside, very loud and busy. The servers are extremely Chinese, meaning quick/will likely rush u/ be rude.I got the hot and sour premium beef noodle soup. It came out super quick, very aesthetically pretty. The portion size a bit small for around 15 bucks, the noodles weren’t as chewy as expected. They pride themselves with hand made noodles, but it tasted like regular factory made. The flavors of the soup was okay, the beef had good portions and was fatty/juicy

The beef roll here is the best I've tried. It was very sweet and savory. The beef and onion pancakes came with 2 and they were really juicy and flavorful. Overall the food didn't feel too oily but was still delicious and filling! The restaurant itself looked like a good place to dine in. Parking: Parked in the ABC Cafe plaza.
Nice place for dumplings and knife-cut noodles soup. Noodle portion is generous, price is reasonable and the noddles are made fresh. I think the noodle soup bowl could use a little more salt and meat. You can see workers from the window at the entrance making fresh noodles. Plenty of parking available; especially the parking lot on northeast corner of Garfield and Garvey. Service is fast. Lots of cold dish appetizers available.Parking: Plenty of parking at the northeast corner Garfield and Garvey.

I almost didn’t go in after seeing the review, but im so glad I did!! I ordered sour&spicy noodles with pork intestine. The soup tasted great, the intestine was fresh. Big portion with good price. Great service and nice decorations. Nothing to complain really! I didn’t try anything else so wouldn’t comment on that, but if you just want good soups and pork then don’t hesitate to visit.
I’ve been to northern cafe of UCLA USC location, been a fan for a long time. However, the beef rows supposed to be sauce beef turn out to be…I don’t know what this is called…taste like ham. And cost $14, don’t recommend the beef roll. Saliva chicken is still good tho
3.7?!?!?!?!?!??! Are you kidding me? This place rocks!!!! Noodles are chewy, perfectly cooked, and the broth is perfect!!! My boy's favorite place!!! He generally only eats the noodles but he drinks the soup here! Son approved. Git it!!!!Food: 5/5
The noodle is lack of favour with just some small pieces of meat. Some of the dumplings are broken and way too salty. I even don’t want to mention about the drink. The staffs are too busy to serve me and the place is quite noisy.Food: 3/5

Soup is too salty, made me so thirsty after the meal. Also, I ordered lamb inners with flat Noodles. So disappointed. Chopped in small pieces and over cooked.Food: 3/5
