The pics are dark as i did not use my flash! Also I should have taken more pics inside as well as out! We been coming here for the past 25 years!"

Nostalgia is a strong force... It drives us to do, watch, go and even eat. This is the sizzle Northwoods is selling. The days of yesteryore are glorified here... From the façade with it's stacked logs and faux snowcapped roof, to the dimly lit dining room with peanut shells on the floor, and of course the walls adorned with old black and white photographs of lumberjacks and pioneers conquering the frontier. The steaks and sides are pretty dang good too. However, there are some modern amenities that should not be overlooked, but I'll start with the meat and potatoes: The food is fantastic, 5 Stars! Every lumberjack that ever brought down a redwood would be proud. Generous portions of deliciou...

I live in the area and not sure why we did not frequent this place more often. Walking up to a large outdoor patio area and staring at the snow covered rooftop. No idea what to expect if you 've never been here. Entering into a dimly lit restaurant with that cabin 70s vibe, a bear at the entrance, fireplace with a fountain in the center, all while stepping on a peanut shell covered floor-interesting. We were seated immediately on a Thursday night. I was starving and craved a steak. No prime rib to be found except in the form of a sandwich. I attended a work dinner here, not knowing what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the service. The ambiance is quite enjoyable, with a cozy cabin atmosphere that exudes a rustic lodge feel. The interior is dimly lit, so your eyes may need a moment to adjust, but it adds to the charm of the place. The bar serves up excellent drinks, and I highly recommend starting with their recommended salad and cheese bread, both of which were delicious. According to the servers, these are popular choices among customers. For my main course, I opted for the crispy chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was well-seasoned, and while I was surprised that the only side option was rice, it turned out to...

Visited this old-school neighborhood steakhouse with a rustic vibe on Valentine's Day, hoping for a cozy solo dinner. Love the tradition of peeling peanuts and tossing the shells on the ground. However, the experience was dampened by service issues. They didn't allow dining in the bar area because of the holiday so I ordered a beer and waiting to be called. After got seated at a table, I briefly left my seat, only to return and find my utensils dumped in my beer, a mishap likely due to the staff being overwhelmed by the holiday crowd. Although the ambiance promises a laid-back dining experience, my advice is to avoid coming here alone on a holiday. The bustling atmosphere seems to challenge...
