My husband and I had some difficulty locating this restaurant since it's hidden away in a business complex. We ordered several rolls, including spicy tuna crispy rice, YTJ, Shiso special, tuna shishito, Rainbow, 911, pressed toro, Marilyn monroll, and naked salmon. For our anniversary dinner, we spent over $200 but were let down by the average quality of the sushi. Despite my adventurous taste in sushi, I've had much better at lower prices elsewhere. Additionally, the lack of ambiance in the outdoor dining area at night was disappointing. The service was good, with friendly staff recommending popular dishes, but overall, we won’t be coming back to this restaurant.
The food at this restaurant truly lives up to its name. The fish and sushi were exceptionally smooth, particularly the salmon in the pressed salmon avocado roll. The sushi rolls were larger than I anticipated compared to other sushi spots, which justifies the price of around $20 per roll. The quality of the food is outstanding, and I highly recommend this place for a delightful dining experience. The service was friendly and accommodating, and you can choose to sit either indoors or outdoors, both offering ocean views. Alternatively, there's also the option to sit at the sushi bar.
We had brunch at Oak to celebrate our anniversary, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The service, the food, the atmosphere, the view, and the overall ambiance made us completely fall in love with this place! Our server was incredibly sweet and polite. The food and drinks were delicious, and each dish was beautifully presented—even the kids' meals! The kid's menu was perfect for my picky eaters. I also appreciated the convenient parking in the building; finding parking in Laguna Beach is usually a hassle, but it was so easy here! We can't wait to return!
We visited this restaurant on Father's Day, and it turned out to be a lovely little getaway for us. The location is nice, albeit busy, as it's right by the water. Inside, it's a cool and inviting space that's perfect for relaxing and enjoying a meal. The menu was intriguing, and I decided to go with tacos that day. The drinks were excellent; as a mezcal and tequila enthusiast, they really hit the spot. The appetizers we ordered were also quite good, but the fries were definitely the highlight for me.

We had a fantastic experience at Oak! We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a view of the street. The drinks, food, and service were all excellent, and everything arrived promptly. I wish I could keep this gem a secret, but I just can't! Seabutter is incredible! I've been to both the Laguna and Beverly Hills locations, and they're both outstanding. The quality of the fish and the service are exceptional, making it a must-visit destination. I highly recommend this restaurant!
