I'm Totally Disgusted with this Airlines. My first time flying American as an adult. As a child a flown a lot due to be an Army child visiting my Dad. First and foremost it sucks paying so much money for a flight yet there is no tv on the plane. They provide free wifi but only to watch their movies not to use for any other application on your phone. My flight was leaving from Chicago O'Hare Airport to LaGuardia and everything was going smooth in until we were on the plane and were directed to get off. I have special dietary restrictions, so meal reservations take priority when flying. I have two complaints re this matter. 1. Due to faulty and misleading wording/information stated on website re meal reservation for flights, we are all wasting time. When contacting live reps, we are given inconsistent information. See below for reference: Site AND app state, in this exact wording: You can reserve a meal beginning 30 days (and up to 24 hours before your flight. Available within 30 days of departure EVERY time Ive come across this issue, Im told its not available to reserve yet, even though its been 30 or less days prior to flight. As for my airport experience, TSA was predictably crowded, but the line moved at a reasonable pace. I was pleased to see that the TSA personnel were in good spirits, which positively influenced the passengers going through the security checks. I only had to remove my shoes, jacket, necklace, laptop, and obsidian bracelet, placing them in either a bin, my jacket pocket, or my carry-on bag. The American Airlines gate seemed more organized and professional compared to those of other airlines I’ve flown. Since first class was fully booked at the time of our reservation, we had to sit there and watch other passengers enjoy their pre-flight drinks, while we were told there wouldn’t be any service in the main cabin due to time constraints. We finally felt relieved upon arriving in Charlotte, as we discovered our connection to Dayton was also delayed and we hadn't missed it. However, we faced several more delays and gate changes before we finally took off. To top it off, we were informed that no first-class pre-flight beverages would be served so that we could board faster. American Airlines didn't stand up to help. We recently booked a trip to Italy on American Airlines. Turns out it was a code share flight. We were actually booked on Iberia Airlines. Trip started out okay until we got to Italy and our luggage didn't get there. Unfortunately, the lost luggage didn't show up for 5 days! We had nothing, probably not smart on our part. So,we were in Florence for 9 days and we had no clothes for 5 days. This pretty much ruined the whole trip. The only reason we got our luggage at all was I packed AirTags in each bag. I could not complain about my AA flight at all. My KTN was not showing on my boarding pass so I went to the counter and the staff easily changed it and printed me a pass. They also took my checked bag and loaded it on the conveyor belt so I didn't have to drop it off. The flight boarded on time, it was a smooth flight and thankfully no passenger drama. I was pleasantly surprised by a dish of warmed nuts with my Diet Coke. I was served a baked chicken lunch (I thought the days of airline food were over). When we landed we deplaned via a staircase (thought those days were over too), and a short wait for luggage.

Location: had a connection flight at Chicago Staff: nice at Chicago, however when landed to houston they were no help with lost luggage. Pretty much said it happens and that's it . Price: average-high Seating: average not enough leg room Did not have screen on seats. Drinks: water and soft drinks were provided As we landed in houston, we were told if we did not pick up luggage they are to be sent the next day. Made complaint and we were told they were at a whole different state. Luggage were delivered home the next day after noon.

AA stinks! The saga that my son and baseball team endured was beyond description. Canceled flight, mechanical issues with the next, rerouted to an airport with the promise of food, transportation and lodging was a lie. Team slept in the ground at a high traffic airport. Finally get to the right destination state but in a city not where intended created the need for our own transportation. After numerous back and forth AA offers a $75 travel voucher. Ridiculous! We have other choices that I will use rather than these dopes.

AA is an excellent airline for our travel needs! They are the only airline operating in and out of FSM, and they offer a great selection of direct and nonstop flights from XNA.
