Has anyone else experienced BBQ beef served like this? I would actively recommend staying away from this place. If you do decide to eat here, I suggest opening your container in front of them and perhaps tasting it before you leave. Don’t make the same mistake I did and waste your hard-earned money.
Also, a word of advice: avoid the beef unless you're looking for unattractive, tasteless, and poorly smelling scraps. The chicken was a bit better—dry and lacking flavor, but at least it was cooked properly and smelled better. When I asked for hot sauce, they offered Louisiana hot sauce. Are we at a fried chicken joint? I thought this was Hawaiian BBQ!

It used to be the best place in the area, but now they charge you for even a small amount of hot sauce or BBQ sauce. All these Asian restaurants were worth the gamble of eating cheap food in generous portions, but now they've cut back and are charging you for a single sauce. It’s better to just go for a hamburger or a burrito, where at least you can be sure they use real meat or vegetables.
The restaurant has a charmingly vintage atmosphere, but it's always spotless. There’s rarely a wait, and the service is quick and friendly. The food is incredible—my girlfriend especially loves the macaroni salad. The loco moco, one of my personal favorites, is absolutely delicious. We visit at least three times a month. Overall, I’d rate the food a solid 5/5.
I ordered party trays here for the holidays and they don't disappoint. On Christmas Eve I got the short ribs and the katsu curry chicken. On New Years Eve I got the hamburger with gravy, barbecue chicken, breaded shrimp and macaroni salad.Will definitely look forward to ordering more.

An outstanding place that has since had a bit of a dip in service. Since Covid and the changeover in staff, it's nearly 50% chance that my order is wrong. Food is good, just seems to have taken a hit in the service area.
My biggest thing for Hawaiian BBQs are the mac... and this one has the better Mac than others in the area... although I'm not the biggest fan of the meat taste, not sure why... the Mac makes me a regular.Food: 4/5
