Okie Dokies Smokehouse

I’ve been frequenting this spot for several years, but my visit today left me disappointed. It used to be my go-to BBQ place, but given my experience and the price I paid, I could have gone to Phil’s BBQ in Black Mountain and gotten much more food for the same $13. The amount of slaw served was so minimal that it hardly seemed worth trying, and they’ve swapped out the steak fries for overly salted crinkle fries. The BBQ sandwich was decent, but it was the only redeeming element of my meal. I never imagined I would write such a review, especially since I live just 5 minutes away from Okie Dokies. I would advise you to steer clear of the daily lunch special – it costs $11.99 for a BBQ sandwich...

We decided to try Okie Dokies after a hike, and I have to say, I was very surprised. Being from Texas, I’m very picky, and was not disappointed! Possibly the best hush puppies I’ve ever had.. I’d literally come back for those! We had ribs, chicken, and pulled pork, along with fries, slaw, okra, cheese grits, and mac n cheese.. very happy with all of them!

Okie Dokies catered a party for me yesterday,May 4th, 2024 with their mobile unit. Steve crew were fabulous! Pleasant folks, very professional. Food was fresh, hot, delicious and plentiful. They were on time and fully prepared. Was a great experience and have already booked another date for catering later this year. Great job Okie Dokies!!.

On my way home from grad school and found them online. I am a BBQ connoisseur, but found this BBQ to be up there with some of the best. The pork itself along with sides offer a delicious combination! Their sauce (sweet and tangy) was phenomenal! I was extremely satisfied! Great BBQ and service! Reserva una mesa ahora

I was the first dine-in customer of the day and I had the fall-off-the-bone ribs that didn't even need any sauce. Coming from Texas, I can say I know my ribs! I'll definitely be coming back!

The best food I ever had in my life. The jalapeño hush puppies WOW! There is no wrong thing to order here the flavor is off the charts!

The only dish we truly enjoyed was the pork. The chicken was just okay, the hush puppies were bland, and the fries were served cold.

Staff is great. Ribs were delicious. Pulled pork was mushy and hush puppies were cold.
