This review is purely on the omakase . While we went into this knowing it wouldn 't be completely traditional, I think omakase is a huge misnomer here, and a prix fixe dinner is more appropriate. There were a few bites that were really awesome, and then most other things were a really blah. I think we would 've been better off and much happier just ordering sushi ala carte.First, unless you have the actual four person table, the chef 's counter is kind of an awkward place at the expediting counter, which is cool on one hand seeing the orders, but still doesn 't have a great view on any prep, and also is a bit irritating when everyone keeps kicking or knocking into your stool as they pass thr...
The attentive staff made us feel welcomed and well-taken care of. Our server Rosie was extremely knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, providing spot-on recommendations to cater to our tastes and the food came out in a very timely manner. Food was delicious, everything we tried and we will be returning to sample the rest of the menu especially as there is so much choice. Only complaint would be the cramped seating does make for tight quarters but the atmosphere was lively and not raucous even with how busy the place was. I can see why everyone raves about it and definitely will be a regular for date night and regular dining.
Excellent menu, everything we chose was a work of art to the eye and taste. All sushi is by the piece so you will be able to sample an array of items. The staff is attentive and very knowledgeable and can describe all of the items on the menu. The cocktail menu is very good not over the top trying to hard, great classics with a modern twist. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu, just looking at what other tables were getting out of the kitchen. Save room for dessert trust me!!!!
Food amazing, friendly efficient service. Just wish the music volume was a bit lower and lights didn't flicker (they seemed to change flicker with the rithm of the music, but I could be wrong) ??. Nothing terrible, but it bothered me enough that I paid attention to it .

I recently visited OKO in Westport for the second time and it was just as good as my first visit. The food is delicious and incredibly fresh, making me want to return every time. It has become my go-to spot whenever I go out with family or friends. I absolutely love it!
I went to dinner expecting to see a normal a sushi menu but I happily surprised. The waitress recommended a few different types of sushi and every piece had a delightful, refreshing fusion of flavor. Oko has contemporary atmosphere and excellent service.
Welcoming, attentive service. Super delicious, fresh, thoughtfully prepared sushi. Flavorful, savory cooked plates. This was our second visit. We'll be back, happily, and hungrily. Thanks for a great meal, Oko.
