Old Country Market Cafe

My husband and I went to the Old Country Market Cafe in Coombs on August 19th for lunch. It was very busy so we had to stand in a long line to wait to order. While watching all of the kitchen staff busily preparing all of the food for the pending orders on the other side of the counter, I couldn't help but notice a young woman in the prep area that had her dark hair piled neatly high up on top of her head. The reason why she stood out to me was because she was back in the prep area in plain view of everyone standing in line that was waiting to order .... but this particular employee was picking the food she was preparing out from under her artificial fingernails and letting it fall back onto...

We stopped here to see the goats and eat. The goats delivered the food not so much. I had a poutine and a Caesar salad. The poutine gravy was thick and starchy and the cheese curds were fine almost as if they'd been grated (as opposed to big chunks of curd). Salad was ok, croutons were really salty. My husband loved his chicken burger! Staff seemed stressed and frazzled. It was VERY busy and they were running 25 min for a burger from the grill. We liked the goats but we wouldn't eat here again.

An early start meant a early breakfast so when we arrived there were few people inside. We opted for the traditional bacon and eggs which came with a heaping mound of has browns, 4 slices of thick country bacon, toast from their on site bakery. I can't believe we actually ate all that but it kept us going thru the day. This is our breakfast stop on future visits.

Our tour stopped here for lunch. We shared a turkey b.l.t. sandwich. The turkey was fresh made and delicious. The portions were large and adequate. We placed our order at the counter and when the food was ready, it was delivered to our table. I would recommendthis place. There is a nice food/gift shop attached to it and clean restrooms. Dans un guide il était noté qu'on pouvait marcher des heures dans ce lieu avec pleins de boutiques etc....Au total 3/4 boutiques dont 2 vendent des trucs hippies provenant d'Indonésie !!!'Le marché et le supermarché sont vraiment biens mais on y passe au total 1 heure ou 2 max.Les chèvres sur le toit sont rigolotes.

Ate here with friends twice this week. Each time, we shared a meal, which was just enough. One was the beef dip, another the turkey club sandwich. Fries were crispy,and the side salads were lovely. My only concern was the noise, with shrieking kids making conversation impossible.

We stopped at this restaurant when we saw the goats and we're glad we did. We tried the tuna wrap, broccoli salad, and soup, all of which were very good. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It's a fun place to stop, especially with the beautiful weather.

We ate here while in Coombs. The store has lots of great food items and shopping. This is the place that is home to Goats on the Roof. The food at the cafe was disappointing and for sure did not wow me. Reserva una mesa ahora

So much to see and do, Great shopping here. all sorts excellent selection. Take time to enjoy the experience

Stopped in for burger and fries. Very expensive but always a great place to go shop and check things out.
