Old School Eatery - Reservar una mesa

Passing through Revelstoke on the way in or out? Next time plan to stay a bit longer and maybe plan a couple meals here! There's history in these walls and you can read about it when you get to class. Well, the classroom has been converted into a diner but it looks like anything but your typical burger joint. Don't drive past this place (it's easy to miss since they can't change the external facade of the building for historical reasons). It's in a school zone so you shouldn't be driving fast anyway. Speaking of schools, it's literally inside an old school. The staff are friendly and the food is presented with care. It's off the beaten path, but worth the excursion. I can't wait to come back...

Dinner was quite disappointing. My son, who is a huge burger fan, didn't enjoy the one at Old School, and I also tried it after he rejected it and found it unappetizing. My other son felt the same way. The bao was decent, but the pancake was served cold. The birria tacos were okay but quite greasy. The lamb chops were passable, but nothing special. All of this came to $118, which felt overpriced. The French fries were dry and hard, a real letdown. On the plus side, the school setting is appealing.

This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere! I really appreciate that it’s located in an old school. The vibe is refreshing, resembling a laid-back, trendy French bistro. I ordered the Elote (Mexican corn) and salmon ceviche for a light meal. While the ceviche was a bit bland, it was definitely fresh. The elote, however, was outstanding! I rounded off my meal with a couple of delicious margaritas, which made me very happy. The service was good and friendly, even with how busy they were.

Amazing place with great food, great drinks and great service! This is a must for those who drive from Calgary to Vancouver. Also, you love the way they used the former school building again; and was surprised to be in a room with very high ceilings. A nice note is that the restaurant has invested in noise-damping acoustic panels on these ceilings, so it is not like echo eyes like most other restaurants. Great place!

This is a wonderful historical venue, originally a school building. Be prepared to experience the aroma of the old brick architecture. The menu is impressive, with a wide selection of beers. I highly recommend the calamari appetizer.

Excellent food and bar service. Interesting drinks watch the busy bartender. Calamari was out favorite if small plates. Someone is paying attention to this fun spot in a tourist town where food can be disappointing.

The best burger I've had for a long time! Gluten-free bun was too great texture. The school turned restaurant / distillery is so cool... definitely recommend checking it for the atmosphere and the incredible menu.

The bao buns are absolutely amazing, and the ribs are so tender they just fall off the bone. If you're in the mood for a burger, the smash burger topped with bacon and cheese will surely satisfy your cravings!

Food was amazing and came so quick. The burger was fabulous and the lamb a perfect combination of savory and sweet. I will order it everytime. Staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. Love this place!
