Although I have never stayed at one of the PH rooms, I have dined there a number of times since they’ve been open. Each time has been such a memorable experience. Staff always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, at home, and catered to. The environment of PH (both indoor and outdoor) is immaculate. PH is curated with beautiful southern decor which makes you feel right at home in The Old Village. But I have to say, I experience just as good of hospitality at their Basic Kitchen location. Basic Projects seemingly always go the extra mile in training their staff to deliver the true southern experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone local or visiting Charleston....
I stayed at the Inn and I have to say the staff there is the best I have ever encountered . I was there for a funeral and was by myself and they went out of their way with so many acts of kindness that I cannot begin to name them. They just took me in and comforted Me. The food was excellent and the mattress was to die for. If you are a woman traveling alone this is the place to stay. Excellent location with so much charm. To all the staff again I say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I visited Post House for dinner and I can't emphasize enough how incredible the oysters were—truly the best I've ever had. These oysters were absolutely outstanding! I traveled to Charleston from Chicago, and I’ll be dreaming about these oysters until I can find ones that are even better. Post House was our favorite dining experience of the trip; we tried all the recommended spots. Overall, I would rate the food 10/10, drinks 10/10, atmosphere 10/10, and service 10/10.
Delicious burgers, crab toast appetizer and rigatone. Our server was the best part of our evening. Randall was very attentive, friendly, knowledgable and made our experience wonderful. He gave us the information about the menu we needed and also the time to relax and enjoy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We will be back! And we will definitely ask for Randall.

This restaurant is delicious and has such a great atmosphere. We got Aperol Spritz, Pineapple Marg, White Wine, Espresso Martinis, Blue Crab Toast, and the Burger. All were perfection and the patio outside was so cute. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. The price does add up $5 per Coke refill) but it was definitely worth it and would love to go back again soon.
Amazing experience! We visited the Post House Inn to check out the restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The menu was fantastic, and the food was superb! Don't miss the Butterbean Spoon Salad and Anson Mills Cornbread—highly recommended!
Really yummy food! I didn’t stay overnight in the actual rooms, just came for Steak frites : It gets busy and they do events sometimes for weddings so make a reservation to be safe!
Such quality food and service!! Not to mention how cute the place is. There’s no wonder why so many people I know consider this one of their favorite places in Charleston.
